Description

Berkley House and Berkley Lodge represent an irregular range of buildings dating to the 19th century, with an earlier-mid 19th-century construction. The property has five windows facing the street. The roofs are tiled and slated, with bracketed eaves. The building is constructed of gault brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice. Recessed sash windows are framed by gauged segmental brick arches, most featuring glazing bars. A segmental arched portico provides access to a recessed, architraved doorway, which is topped with a fanlight and incorporates a panelled door. A splayed oriel window is situated above the entrance. The building is included on the heritage register for group value, as part of a grouping with Berkley House and No. 7.
