Description
The Corner House is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber-framed structure that is roughcast rendered and painted brick. The roof is thatched, with some areas covered in 20th-century tiles. Originally, it was a three-unit plan cottage with one storey and an attic, but part of it was demolished to the south to allow for a two-storey addition.
On the left side, there is a rebuilt red brick stack, while a red brick ridge stack and an end stack are located on the right side. The main entrance is positioned to the right of the center and includes a six-raised and fielded-panelled door, topped with a cornice hood and flanked by semi-circular fluted wooden pilasters. The ground floor has two three-light casement windows, and there are two eyebrow dormer windows above. To the south, there are two tripartite hung sash windows on each floor, along with a fifteen-paned hung sash window located above the entrance. Inside, the floor frames are exposed.
