Description

Nos 48 and 50 on High Street are late 18th century houses constructed of local brick, featuring a partially colourwashed facade. The buildings have a part old plain tile roof with tumbled parapet gables and stand two storeys tall. They display cambered arches over two modern hung sashes and two hung sashes with glazing bars. To the left, there is a mid-19th century shop front with an entry that has an architrave of pilasters topped with a plain entablature. The shop door is recessed with panelled reveals. No 50 has a late 19th century shop front that includes carved brackets supporting the architrave. These buildings are noted for their shop fronts.
