Description
This is a late 18th-century row of houses and a shop, situated on the west side of High Street in Chatteris, and extending to Whalleys Yard. The building is constructed of colour-washed brick with triple-roll pantile roofs and retains two brick ridge stacks and two side stacks, one of which is truncated. It is a single-storey building with an attic. The front, facing High Street, is gabled and has a single-window range. To the right is a small, 15-pane shop window, and to the left a part-glazed door, with a two-light casement window above. A long, four-window range extends to Whalleys Yard. To Whalleys Yard, No.2 has a door and two-light and single-light casement windows. No.1 has a 10/1 sash window, a 20th-century door, a 3/3 sash window and a small 12-pane window, which belongs to No. 130. There are three small, two-light tilting dormers in the attic. Three small windows are located on the right-hand side of the building.
