Description

No. 2 Low Cross is a cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is built of local callow brick in English bond and features a reed thatched roof with tumbled gabled end parapets. The cottage has a square ridge stack and a later end stack. It is one storey high with an attic and includes two dormers. The original layout follows a lobby entry plan. There are three flush frame hung sashes, two of which have twelve panes and one with four panes, positioned on either side of the original doorway, which is set within an early 19th century pedimented doorcase. The entrance features a six-panelled door with two small glazed upper panels.
