Description

This is a vernacular mud wall built between 1841 and 1886, located between the Whittlesey Conservative Club and 36 Whitmore Street in Whittlesey. The wall stands on an exposed footing of stone rubble and features a coping made of pantiles that are mortared beneath ridge tiles. The surface of the wall displays the activity of mason bees, along with some patches of lime render and areas of surviving limewash on the west side. The wall measures approximately 11.92 meters in length and 2.13 meters in height.
