Description
No. 3 East Delph is a cottage dating from the early 17th century and the 19th century. It is constructed of narrow coursed rubblestone, with 19th-century brick used to rebuild the gable end. The roof is covered with reed thatch and features a tumbled brick parapet supported by moulded stone kneelers. The end stacks have been rebuilt. The cottage has a two-bay plan, is one storey high with an attic, and includes two gable dormers. On the left side, there are two windows and a doorway opposite the stack. The rear elevation retains two original windows with chamfered stone surrounds and mullions, although they now have later casements. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered main beam with joists laid on edge, and some inserted stone in one of the ground floor rooms.
