Description

Market Cross, built in the late 17th century, is located in the market place of Whittlesey. It features a pyramidal roof covered with Collyweston stone slates, topped with a ball finial and a moulded wood cornice. The structure stands on Tuscan columns made of limestone, with each corner having a group consisting of a pier and two columns, while each side has a single column. The cross is set on stone steps and is now furnished with seats.
