Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the late 17th century. It is timber-framed and has been plaster-rendered, with a half-hipped thatched roof made of long straw and a ridge stack. The cottage's present layout probably dates from a subdivision in the 19th century, and likely replaces an earlier lobby-entry type. It is a single storey with an attic, and features two gabled dormers breaking the eaves. There are three windows and two doors, all dating from the 20th century. The building is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (North East Cambs.), page 11, monograph 38.
