Description

The Golden Ball is a former pair of cottages that became a public house and is now a single dwelling. It was built in 1795. In the 19th century, a small brick service wing was added at the rear. The building features a timber frame of light scantling, with plaster rendering and a tiled mansard roof. It has a ridge stack and a single range plan with four bays. The structure is one storey high with attics and includes four dormers. The ground floor has four windows, which consist of horizontal sliding sashes and a small bow window that, despite being repaired, is likely original. Originally, there were two doorways, but only one remains today.
