Description

Smock Mill is a small smock mill from the early 20th century, originally built to drain Adventurers Fen. It was moved to its current location in 1956 and is now a working mill that pumps water into Wicken Fen, which is a National Trust Nature Reserve. The mill is timber framed and weatherboarded, standing on a concrete sill. It has four sides, two storeys, a boat cap, four sails, and a tail pole. Each side features a projection for the scoop wheel.
