Description

No 7 Castlehythe is a mid 19th century house built from gault brick, with a panel that displays the date 1850 and the initials VG. The house has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars, all set in painted reveals. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is topped by a semi-circular fanlight and framed by a stucco doorcase that includes pilasters and a cornice. The roof is covered with slate. This house is part of a charming group of mid 19th century gault brick houses, numbered 3 to 17 (odd) and No 21, which are set back from the road.
