Description

No 5 Castlehythe is a mid-19th century brick house that has been rendered with cement. It stands two storeys high and features a two-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. The roof is covered with slate. This house is included for its group value alongside Nos 3 to 17 (odd) and No 21, which together create a charming group of mid-19th century gault brick houses set back from the road.
