Description

No. 2 Mill Road is a cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has plaster rendering, except for one gable end which is covered with weatherboarding. The cottage features a mansard roof that is topped with long straw thatch and includes an end stack. The original layout consists of a hall and a smaller service room. In the late 19th century, a brick lean-to with a range was added at the rear. The building is one storey high with an attic and has one dormer. The entrance includes a doorway with a boarded door, alongside a fixed light window with six panes.
