Description

The Crown is a mid-19th century inn featuring a red brick facade with flint end walls and a low pitched, hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and two rear stacks. Notable architectural details include a dentil brick eaves cornice and five recessed, twelve-paned hung sash windows on the first floor, set within cambered brick arches. The ground floor has four larger windows, a central six-panelled door, and a rectangular fanlight, all framed by a plain pilastered doorcase.
