Description

Dukes Stud is a mid-19th century farm building located on the north side of Newmarket Road in Ashley. The structure is built of flint with red brick dressings and features both slate and modern interlocking tile roofs. To the north, there is a barn, while stables are positioned at right angles, creating two yards that are partly enclosed by a long range to the south. The barn has a half-hipped slate roof and large double doors set in a segmental arch, which include geometric ventilation holes. The stables and hovels are topped with hipped roofs.
