Description

The Old Plough is an inn dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a painted brick and rendered timber frame construction, topped with a hipped plain tile roof that has a plastered ridge stack. The building stands two storeys high and originally had a two-unit plan, with a 19th-century addition to the west. There is one gabled porch that has been blocked to the north and a corner gabled porch to the northeast, which includes double half-glazed doors. The inn has two three-light casement windows on both the first and ground floors, as well as one single light window. Inside, the property showcases stop-chamfered ceiling beams and sealed inglenook hearths.
