Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located on the north side of High Street in Mepal. It is timber-framed and originally had plaster rendering on the plinth, with a steeply pitched roof which has since been covered in corrugated iron. A gault brick ridge stack is present. The cottage follows a lobby entry plan, with two storeys and two enlarged first-floor window openings alongside two at ground floor. A small pantry window is located at the south-east end. A gable end features an attic opening with lattice work, likely for storage purposes. A brick lean-to has been added to the rear of the property.
