Description
No. 15 High Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of buff-coloured gault brick laid in Flemish bond, with red brick used for the door and window openings. The steeply pitched roof is covered with modern tiles and features tumbled gable end parapets. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two dormers, one of which contains a small pane horizontal sliding sash window from the 18th or 19th century.
On the first floor, there are three flush frame sixteen-pane hung sash windows set under segmental arches, along with one similar window with eight panes. The doorway is framed by a moulded architrave and has a flat hood supported by cut brackets, with similar sixteen-pane hung sashes on either side under red brick segmental arches. There is a carriageway opening at the west end that is contemporary with the house. Additionally, iron ties shaped like the initials "WH" are present on the west gable.
