Description
127a North Street is a house dating from the early 17th century. It has a timber-framed structure with plaster and brick foundations, and the east gable is covered with 19th-century gault brick. The house features a local brick ridge stack and a pantile roof. It is two storeys high with a three-unit plan and a lobby entry. There are three casement windows on both the first and ground floors, along with a 19th-century panelled door. Inside, the house has sealed inglenook hearths and stop-chamfered ceiling beams. Access to the attic is provided by an original moveable ladder, and the balustrade features splat balusters from the 18th century, as noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments inventory.
