Description

The Forge is a cottage from the early 18th century, constructed of red brick. It features a plinth and a peg tiled roof, which has an end stack and a coped right gable with kneelers. A brick eaves course runs across the gable as a string course. The left gable end was rebuilt in the 19th century. The building is one and a half storeys tall, with one window and one flat roof dormer, both fitted with horizontal sliding sashes that have glazing bars. There are three steps leading up to the door from the street. This building is included for its group value.
