Description
The Red Lion Public House is a cottage from the 18th century that was extended by one room on the right side in the 19th century. It features a timber frame rendered on a brick sill, topped with a steeply pitched slate roof and a ridge stack that was rebuilt in the 19th century. The building has one storey and an attic, with a gable dormer added in the 20th century. There are two horizontal sliding sash windows on either side of the entrance, which has an early 19th-century panelled door. The clunch addition includes a late 19th-century recessed hung sash window, and there is one 19th-century fixed light iron casement in the gable end. Inside, the timber framing is visible in the rear wall.
