Description

Oak Farm is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the east side of North Street in Burwell. The building features a timber-framed structure that is plastered, with painted brick and clunch casing. It has a gable facing west and a roof covered with cedar shingles. The farmhouse is one storey high with an attic and follows a three-unit plan with a lobby entry. There is a ridge stack positioned to the left of the center, along with three casement dormer windows on the first floor and three ground floor windows, which include two boarded doors. Inside, the farmhouse showcases stop-chamfered ceiling beams, tie beams, and arch braces. The former service room still has oak shelves supported by wooden pegs.
