Description

This milestone, located about half a mile south of the junction with Shelford Road on Hauxton Road in Trumpington, is the third stone in a series of 16 stones established along the old London road under the will of Dr. Mowse of Trinity Hall. It features the shield of the arms of Trinity Hall, and although the date is now buried, it is recorded as 1729. This milestone is part of the historical context that includes Trumpington Road and the church of St Mary-the-Great.
