Description
27 Parkside is a mid-19th century building constructed of grey gault brick with rusticated stucco on the ground floor. It has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, featuring three windows arranged in a 1:1:1 pattern, with the central bay set forward and a central front door. The ground floor windows are three-light sashes, while the upper windows are casements with pedimented heads, and there are sash windows over the door also with a pedimented head. The central bay is pedimented at the cornice level. The entrance doorway is framed by a low relief surround with Doric pilasters. Additional architectural details include an eaves cornice, a parapet, two attic dormers, and a slate mansard roof. The property is enclosed by plain cast-iron spike railings with vases on the main stanchions. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 20 to 25, 27 to 33, and 35 to 40 Parkside.
