Description

North Court at Jesus College is a student residence built between 1963 and 1965, designed by David Roberts. The building is constructed of buff brick with aluminium window frames and features a flat roof. It is a four-storey 'L' shaped block. The rooms are arranged on the diagonal, resulting in a saw-tooth plan, with balconies extending between the points. Each room is fully glazed, with a door leading to the balcony, and has a corner of glazing that protrudes beyond the front of the balcony. This design is part of the Cambridge New Architecture movement, associated with Nicholas Taylor.
