PRINCES GARDENS TQ 2679 SE Southside Halls 249/39/10010 Imperial College GV II Student residential block. 1960-63. Sheppard Robson and Partners. Board marked reinforced concrete, glass, timber framed windows; flat roof. 10 storey block, with student rooms arranged in clusters of eight, occupying six floors, divided into two groups of three by an upper level 'street', above a podium of common rooms and refectories. Ground floor, gallery level and top storey are recessed. Floor to ceiling glazing with expressed cross walls between student rooms; to common areas "floor to ceiling glazing with narrowly spaced thick timber mullions.
