Description
The Richardson Candles are street lamps located outside numbers 10, 16, 19, and opposite 19 Trumpington Street. Designed exclusively for Cambridge City by Sir Albert Richardson in 1957 and manufactured by the REVO electrical company, these lamps feature a vertical, tubular lantern made of translucent glass that houses fluorescent tubes. Each lantern is topped with a simple cast-iron capping and base, and is mounted on a slim, fluted column made of bronze-coloured cast-iron.
