Description
The Richardson Candle street lamps, located in Trinity Street and designed for Cambridge City by Sir Albert Richardson in 1957, are listed as Grade II. Manufactured by the REVO electrical company, these lamps feature a vertical, tubular lantern made of translucent glass that houses fluorescent tubes. Each lantern is topped and based with simple cast-iron elements and is supported by a slim, fluted column made of bronze-coloured cast-iron. There is also a wall-mounted version that is affixed to buildings with a pair of plain metal brackets at each end, with the lower bracket embossed with the word REVO.
