Description
The churchyard wall, railings, and parish room of Christ Church were built in 1839 by Ambrose Poynter. The walls along Napier Street and Christchurch Street are constructed of flint panels with red brick piers and a brick coping. The Newmarket Road side features cast-iron spear-head railings and a pair of gates. The wall extends across the back of the churchyard and connects to the parish room at the corner facing Christchurch Street. The parish room is designed in a similar Tudor style to the church, made of brick and flint with stone dressings and a slate roof that has end stacks. It is a single-storey building with three 3-light windows facing the street and lancet windows on the gable ends, with an entrance from the churchyard. These structures are part of a group with Christ Church.
