Description

Trinity College features an L-shaped brick wall located on the riverfront in the southwest portion of the garden, adjacent to Garrett Hostel Lane. This wall dates from the 18th century or earlier and includes a series of stone heraldic cartouches. There are four cartouches, which are from the late 17th century and are likely the work of Robert Grumbold. The cartouches display the arms of Nevile (twice), Saclter, and Babington. They were relocated from Nevile's Court in the 18th century.
