Description
Clare College features railings, gates, and brick plinth walls located on either side of the causeway that connects the College West gate to the Bridge. The brick plinth walls have stone coping and are partially topped with 18th-century spear-head wrought-iron railings that include vase finials on the stanchions. There is a gate leading to the Master's Garden and another gate to the Fellows' Garden, which is adorned with an overthrow and a lamp-cage.
