Description

Number 1 Lovers Lane is a 17th-century cottage constructed from coursed stone rubble, featuring a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys, with two windows on the ground floor and one window on the first floor, all of which are 19th-century two-light casements. It includes a central brick chimney stack and an end stone stack. At the rear, there is a modern one-storey concrete extension. Inside, the fireplace bressumer is supported by reused 12th-century carved stones that display chevron ornamentation.
