Northolme House is a 16th or 17th century house constructed of coursed stone rubble, topped with a new tile roof that features one hipped end and one coped gable. The west gable end has blocked stone windows, and there are ashlar ridge stacks with cornices. On the north side, there is a six-fielded panel door set in a moulded stone architrave, along with three flat roof dormers. The house is L-shaped in plan and includes an 18th century wing to the northeast, also built of stone rubble with a new tile roof, which has a datestone in the gable end reading "T" over "1704". A moulded panelled door is located in the angle of the two wings.
Inside, the house features early 18th century fielded panelling in one room, complete with a moulded cornice and a bolection moulded chimney piece and doorway architraves. Another room dates from the late 17th century and showcases moulded panelling and a cornice. The staircase, which dates from the 17th or 18th century, is a dog-leg design with a moulded string and turned balusters.
