Description
Laurel Court is an early 18th-century building located in the precincts of Peterborough. The cloister elevation features two storeys with five windows. The two bays on the left are constructed of rubble, while the three bays on the right are made of ashlar. The windows are set in stone architraves with a triple keystone design. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century bay windows with crenellated parapets. The central two-window section slightly projects forward and is topped with a parapet. There is a pedimented doorway flanked by two half-columns. The south elevation includes windows, one of which has Gothic glazing, and the central window section also projects slightly forward and is balustraded. The garden walls and gates, a former outbuilding, the wall to the north, and a mounting block, along with Laurel Court, Hostry Passage, Little Dorter, Great Cloister, and Well, form a cohesive group.
