Description

The stone arch in the wall south-south-east of Close House, which faces School Road, is a 13th-century chamfered stone arch with a hood mould. It was originally located in the church under the tower arch but was removed in 1855. The arch was first re-erected in the wall of the Rectory, now known as Kingsley House, and was finally moved to its current location in 1963.
