Description

The Old Cottage is a 17th to 18th century cottage located on the west side of The Square in Barnack. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, with the south end rendered. The cottage features a steeply pitched gable-ended roof covered with modern concrete tiles. It has one storey and an attic, with two modern casement windows and a blocked central door. There is also a modern dormer and an internal end stack. Additionally, there is a wing on the corner to the north, made of stone rubble, which has a lower level Collyweston stone roof and wedge-shaped dormers. The building is included for its group value.
