Description

No. 55 Main Street is a 17th-century house constructed from coursed stone and topped with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. The building has a projecting gabled cross wing on the right (north) side. Stone coping adorns the gables. It stands two storeys tall and has a five or six window range. A modern door is located to the right of the center. The ridge stack has been rebuilt in ashlar.
