Description

The Cottage is a 17th century house that was remodeled in 1863, as indicated by the datestone in the gable. It features a long range of coursed stone rubble and has tile roofs with stone coped gable ends. The south end of the building has a lower roof. The house is two storeys high and has a range of four to five windows, with a gabled design at the north end and gabled first windows. The 19th century windows include two- and three-light mullions, and there is a 19th century splayed bay and a stone porch at the north end. Brick chimney stacks are present, and there are modern extensions at the rear. Inside, the ceiling beams are stop-chamfered.
