Description
No. 41 Main Street is a dated 1758 house in coarse stone rubble, featuring bands of dressed stone and quoins. It has a thatched roof with gabled ends finished with stone coping, and end chimney stacks made of brick. The house is two storeys high with attics. It has a three-window front. The upper floor and attics have two-light casement windows, while the ground floor windows are three-light casements with glazing bars. Stone lintels with keyblocks sit above the windows. A central boarded door provides entry. Two dormers are present. A fire insurance plaque is affixed to the building. Inside, one room features pilastered panelling around the fireplace and cupboard on an end wall.
