Description

Barnside Cottage is a pair of 18th-century cottages originally built of whitewashed stone rubble. They were later converted into a single dwelling and the north end was refaced with brick. The long, low range has a thatched roof with gabled ends and four eyebrow dormers. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. The facade has five windows; the windows are two-light casements, with modern replacements at the north end. A modern door is positioned centrally. Chimney stacks are located at the centre and ends of the building. The cottage is listed for its group value.
