Description
Woodgate Farmhouse is a 17th-century house that was restored in the 19th century. It is positioned at right angles to the road, with a later addition at the east end. The building is constructed of coursed stone rubble and features a steeply pitched concrete tile roof with coped gable ends; the east end has a lower-pitched slate roof. The farmhouse has two storeys and a four-window range, with casements that include glazing bars. There are also some 2- and 3-light stone mullion windows with cornices, mostly dating from the 19th century. The entrance has a 19th-century panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight. A tablet in the end gable displays "S" above "J M 1688". The house has ashlar stacks with cornices located at the ends and on the ridge.
