Description

The Ruddy Duck Public House is a long building dating from the late 17th century, originally a row of cottages. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and four widely spaced windows. On the first floor, there are 2 and 3-light casements with leaded panes, while the ground floor has modern casements and concrete lintels. The central door has been blocked. There are brick ridge stacks, and a modern brick one-storey extension has been added at the rear. Although the interior has been extensively altered, it still retains some stopped chamfer ceiling beams.
