Description

No. 1 Chestnut Close is a late 18th century to early 19th century cottage constructed from coursed stone rubble. It features a concrete tile roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall. The cottage has a two-window range, with modern casements fitted into the original openings, which have voussoired heads. The central doorway also has a voussoired head and contains a modern door. There are brick chimney stacks at each end of the building. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
