Description

No. 7 Chestnut Close is an early 19th-century house constructed of coursed stone with ashlar dressings. It features a low-pitched slate hipped roof with overhanging eaves. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and are topped with stone lintels that include keyblocks. The central doorway is framed by a plain stone architrave with a keyblock, and it has a rectangular fanlight above a panelled and glazed door. There is a Gothic cast iron lattice porch with a pointed arch, and above it, a balcony with an intersecting traceried balustrade.
