Description
Manor House Cottages is a 17th century house constructed from coursed stone rubble. It features a steeply pitched concrete tile roof with coped gable ends and stands two storeys tall. The building has a five-window range, with a large central coped gable that includes an oval panel. The windows consist of three-light ovolo moulded stone mullion windows with cornices, and there is a four-light window with a transom on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two four-light wood mullion windows with leaded panes set in stone frames, also with cornices. The property has two later stone door surrounds with pediments and modern glazed doors. It is topped with two ashlar chimney stacks with cornices, located at the ends and on the ridge. Inside, there is a notable 17th century dog-leg staircase featuring turned balusters, a moulded handrail, and moulded newels with pierced finials.
