Description
Websters Farmhouse is a late 18th-century home constructed from coursed stone rubble with an ashlar front. It features a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends and stands two storeys tall with an attic, comprising three bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, set beneath flat stone arches that have keyblocks. The central entrance has a fielded panel door framed in plain stone with a straight head, voussoirs, and a keyblock, topped by a rectangular fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. A string course runs at floor level, and there are three old hipped dormers. At the rear, there is a contemporary wing with a modern flat roof addition in the angle.
Surrounding the garden area are cast iron railings, which include one small rusticated pier at each end topped with a pyramidal stone cap. While the piers are contemporary with the house, the railings date from the 19th century and have been restored.
