Description
32 and 34 Church Street are two houses with origins dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They were reworked and extended in the early to mid-19th century. The exterior features colourwashed roughcast render over a timber-framed core and slate roofs. The buildings are two storeys high and have an L-shaped plan with a three-bay street elevation and a four-bay return. The left-hand ground floor has a two-light horizontal sash window with glazing bars, while the other windows are two-light casements with glazing bars, with the ground floor windows set in moulded frames. A red brick multiple ridge stack serves the two left-hand bays. Entrances are located on the side and rear elevations, and some substantial timber framing is exposed internally.
