Description
Cottage Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is built of yellow brick, which is partly colourwashed, and features hipped roofs covered in clay tiles. The house has a complete plan of two storeys.
The south elevation has a five-window facade with a slightly irregular arrangement, suggesting that the two left-hand bays may be later additions. The windows are sash style with glazing bars on both floors; the left-hand ones have cambered heads, while the three on the right have gauged brick flat heads. There is a central gable porch from the 19th century. A brick band runs along the first floor level.
The right side elevation also features sash windows with gauged brick flat heads. At the rear, hipped wings project out, displaying a variety of sash and casement windows. The property is topped with multiple brick chimney stacks.
