Description
Ouse Farmhouse is a house from the 18th century that was extended in the 19th century, although it likely has an earlier core. The building is mainly constructed of colourwashed brick, with the rear elevation featuring some colourwashed roughcast render that seems to cover timber framing. It has two storeys and attics, with a depth of one room.
The east elevation has a five-bay range. The left-hand bay on both the ground and first floors is blank, while the other bays feature 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars. The attic includes five gabled dormers that contain two-light casements. There is a six-panel door, with the top pair being glazed, beneath a semi-circular fanlight adorned with ornamental glazing bars. The doorway appears to have been central in the 18th-century arrangement, with the left-hand section of the range beyond the ridge stack being a later addition that includes an outshut at the rear. There is an integral gable end stack on the right-hand side.
